How our diaper contributes to our mission
The first pillar in realizing our mission is our diaper. The design, composition and packaging directly contribute to closing the diaper chain.
DESIGNED FOR RECYCLING
Our diaper was designed with recycling in mind. Following the 'design for recycling' principle, we started at the end and designed a diaper with recycling in mind. Because we have both the design and processing processes in our own hands, we can coordinate both perfectly. Unique in the diaper world!
What we are already doing today:
- Using as many recyclable plastics as possible such as polypropylene and polyethylene
- Omitting cotton from the diaper for better recycling
- Omitting PLA, PVC and PET from the diaper, plastics that disrupt the recycling process
MADE WITH RECYCLED MATERIALS
To limit our impact on the environment, we developed a diaper that uses 100% recycled materials for certain parts. The first on the market! The use of new raw materials in a production process produces a large amount of CO2-footprint. We want to extend this to other parts in the near future.
What we are already doing today:
- Using 100% recycled material in the waterproof polyethylene layer of the diaper
- Using 100% recycled material in the polyethylene packaging
