Who is Woosh
Woosh delivers diapers and collects them after use. But don't just call us a diaper service. We are much more than that! We are a team of determined world improvers with a mission. A mission to turn the diaper world upside down and reinvent the entire chain with circularity as the end goal.
And we are quite successful in that! Since 2021, we have grown from a local initiative into a national and independent diaper service for daycare centers and childminders with more than 1300 affiliated customers and 27,000+ happy babies. Not bad for the new kid on the block, right?
Woosh's origin
A few years back in time. We, three young fathers, see with our own eyes how much diaper waste ends up as residual waste every day. We decide to investigate, because why is there no diaper recycling in Belgium yet?
We find the answer in this paradox: diapers are not recycled because there is no separate waste collection, and diapers are not collected separately because there are no facilities to recycle them. A strong example of chicken or egg!
Based on our expertise as engineers, we are starting a research project together with Ontex, one of the largest diaper manufacturers in the world. A project that after a while resulted in the founding of Woosh.
A smart diaper service for daycare centers turns out to be a solution that provides unique benefits for both daycare centers and our mission: while supplying diapers to childcare centers meets their logistical concerns regarding the supply and disposal of diapers, the collection of used diapers ensures for setting up a separated waste stream. A win-win situation!
